Wayside's Prayer Ministry

One of our goals as a church in 2009 is to become a House of Prayer and a People of Prayer! Every partner of Wayside is going to be challenged to grow in their prayer life in 2009. Listed are opportunities for us to be equipped and to grow in our praying.
Become a Pastor's Prayer Partner
There is nothing in the world that has as much potential to be an instrument for change as God's church. Yet the "detonator" that churches lack today is prayer! When a group of people lift up their church and partner with their pastor in prayer, incredible things happen! Currently, Wayside has over 170 Pastor's Prayer Partners that intercede for our Pastors and the ministry of our church on a daily basis! Will you decide to become one today and receive the weekly PPP E-Update of pertinent prayer needs related to our ministry?
John Maxwell says, "I want to encourage you to pray for your pastors and church leaders. In doing so, you will be partnering with them in the ministry and giving them protection and empowerment. With your help, they will be able to go places they otherwise could not have gone and do things they never would have been able to do alone. And when they succeed, so do their people. That was the case with Moses during the battle with the Amalekites, and that can be the case for your leader and you."
Monthly Thursday Night Prayer Meeting
On the second Thursday of every month, our congregation gathers together to do nothing else but pray and intercede on behalf of the ministry of this church. We do "prayer walks" through our property and surrounding community as well as through our worship center and educational facilities. We attribute any "success" Wayside may have to this firm commitment and desire to seek the heart and face of God through prayer.
