     It is our desire at Wayside to be an “Equipping Epicenter.”  We want to be a training center where people are taught how to live out the principles in the Word of God which will result in sending “shockwaves” of ministers into Miami-Dade County!  You will be challenged to grow to your maximum potential here at Wayside as our goal is to produce fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ!  Our primary task is to “equip the saints for the work of the ministry” (Ephesians 4:13).

Community
     Life Change Happens Best in the Context of Relationships

    Here at Wayside, we believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.  Our Bible Fellowship Groups are the life blood of our church!  You have not fully experienced all that Wayside has to offer until you have gotten involved in a Bible Fellowship Group.  So much of what we do at our church is structured so that people can build genuine friendships with other believers that will last for all eternity!

Outreach
     Each One, Reach One

     Our focus is on winning people to faith in Jesus Christ by fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).  We have an on-going program of equipping people with the tools and techniques they need to share their faith.  Jesus said in Luke 14:3, “Go out into the highways…and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.”  It’s our desire to see every Wayside Partner actively sharing their faith with those whom God sends into their sphere of influence. 

Excellence

Fostering an Attitude of “Divine Discontent”

     The aura of excellence must permeate everything that we do.  Why? Because the God we worship deserves nothing less and because the people to whom we minister to are worth it! We value the desire to always strive to be better at doing what we do -- loving God and loving people and making sure that our ministries reflect that philosophy as much as possible.
 

Worship
     Giving All That I Am To All That He Is

     We have proven that we can still be a modern and relevant church that combines the worship of today with the hymns of yesterday.  It's encouraging to hear newcomers say that Wayside is the most worshipful church they've ever been in! We are seeing a growing desire on behalf of our members to simply be in the presence of Jesus!  Worship is the believer’s response in mind, emotions, will, and body to all that God is, and says and does.

Ministry
     Every Member a Minister

     We are convinced that the influence a church has on its community is not determined by its programs, or the personality of its pastor—it will be determined by the percentage of involvement in the ministry of its members.  We want to see a transition from attendance to ownership; from being consumers to being contributors in the work of the ministry. 

Prayer

Praying Your Church to Its Potential

     One of the most challenging questions we could ever ask ourselves is: "What level of dependency upon God does your prayer life reflect?"  Jesus said, "My house shall be a house of prayer" and we are committing ourselves to live up to that standard.  The success of our ministry is dependent upon the faithful intercession of God's people.  Join us this month for a Thursday night prayer gathering!
